Sell Your Diamonds
Seattle Gold Buys Diamonds

Many people visit us to sell their gold or silver jewelry and are pleasantly surprised to learn we also buy diamonds. While the process for evaluating diamonds is different from testing precious metals, our team can guide you through every step.
Evaluating Diamonds
- Smaller diamonds (often called side stones) are usually under 0.15 carats. In these cases we include their weight as part of the overall offer for your jewelry and price the piece as premium jewelry.
- Diamonds between 0.15 and 0.40 carats receive an additional bonus.
- For larger diamonds that are 0.40 carats or larger, our GIA trained specialists will assess the stone to determine its quality and market value. This ensures you receive an offer that reflects both the characteristics of your diamond and current demand.
Purchasing Other Gemstones
We also purchase other large gemstones like rubies, emeralds, and sapphires strictly if they are over 1 carat in size. This is considered on a case-by-case basis, and we explicitly do not purchase pearls, amethyst, garnets, or tanzanite. If you have recognized laboratory certificates for your large stones, please bring them with you to assist with our evaluation.
Natural Colorless Diamonds Only
We purchase natural, colorless diamonds. We explicitly do NOT buy synthetic, lab-created, man-made, raw (uncut), fracture-filled, enhanced, or chipped/heavily damaged diamonds. Also, unless they are classified as premium jewelry, we do not offer a bonus on colored diamonds. If you are unsure about what you have, bring it in, and we will examine it, explain our findings, and let you decide whether to sell with absolutely no obligation.
